The Electro group of companies are “not for profit” organisations set up by industry for industry to support the development of the Electrotechnology and energy workforce.


It comprises two principal organisations:


Electro Skills – providing industry specific technical education and training from pre-vocational, trade/vocational, and post-trade (paraprofessional)

 

Electro Group – offering industry businesses and existing a simple, cost effective and flexible way to engage and develop apprentices/trainers in the Electrotechnology and energy industries.

 

The Electro Group of companies are committed to providing quality client service and industry excellence in workforce development.


The companies operate primarily in a regulated environment set by the state or federal government (DET NSW and DEWR), that apply quality assurance standards with respect to each core competency. That is:

  • Electro Skills is registered, as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) registration standards, to conduct and offer nationally recognised training and assessment and issue respective national training package qualifications, and be able to receive government funding for approved qualifications and programs
  • Electro Group is accredited, under the Group Training Australia Quality Accreditation standards, as a Group Training Company (GTC_ to engage in regulated contracted employment and competency development of apprentice/trainees for government recognised and funded qualifications/programs

Each entity operates as a not-for-profit organsations under the auspices of a Board


The Boards are comprised of key stakeholders and clients represented in the industry of Electrotechnology and Energy.
